Signs of the frame of mind and spiritual condition of the souls of these people. Downtrodden, feeling worthless, valueless, discouraged, no one cares. You get the picture. So while you were demonstrating that you cared by your actions. The Holy Spirit was working the crowd. You know how He does, whispering in their ears positive and beautiful things. Not like they had been hearing as our enemy the devil whispered death and hopelessness in their ears for as long as they can remember. Told them they were worthless and no one cared about them. And then here comes Sean. What in the world is he doing? Does he care? And the Holy Spirit begins to witness about you to each individual in the crowd. And He begins to heal their spiritual vision and they see something many of them have never seen. The Glory of the Lord shining through you. And they are attracted to the light and they come closer and begin to work so they can stay close to the light. And the Holy Spirit ministers to them. Seeds are planted, barriers begin to come down, hearts begin to become tender, just a little at first as they begin to fall in Love with Jesus. footnote: This is how Jesus attracted me. His glory shown through a young woman and I instantly fell in love with what I had been searching for all my life. At first I thought it was the girl. But after a few weeks, after I had asked Jesus to save me, He showed me it was Him I was seeking. Not the girl. I will agree with you prayerfully for all these you mentioned. A door has begun to open to their salvation. It&#39;s like getting a very shy child to trust you. It takes time. In the fullness of time they will be called to Jesus by their Heavenly Father who loves them. Indeed you should venture out more often. Maybe check out the Professor. Acknowledge the &quot;bad boy&quot; we should change his name to? Take Vika so they can see genuine love that most of them have never experienced. And don&#39;t forget to ask the Holy Spirit to join you. He is an excellent witness and gives testimony and credibility of you to the crowd. Your concerns are right and true, and will take much prayer. These concerns are very high on God&#39;s list as well, and will be corrected IN THEIR SEASON. Highest priority is making disciples who in turn will make more disciples and Prayer Warriors. Rather than trying to teach old dogs new tricks. I believe the changes will come through the younger generation, youth and college age. The girls should be taught to pray that God would make them Godly woman for their future husbands. And be patient. And the same for the young men to pray for their future wives. And be patient. You know how God has you praying for each other all the time. For as their Heavenly Father it is His privilege to prepare and bring together at the perfect time His choices for husbands and wives. Look how God worked it out for Vika and Sean. Perfect? These people must be so desperate when prison in Greece is an acceptable substitute for what they have in Albania. In a communist country where God was literally dismissed by those in authority and I guess I could say asked to leave? As those leaders were replaced with new authorities that God is raising up I feel that 1 Tim 2:1-8 says it all. The people must pray for their new leaders and authorities lest it happen all over again. As you may know during its existence for thousands of years,they found that the only way to oppose the assimilation and conversion from many nations and populations was to create a social barrier. That could be a family a village a city and hopefully a country. Been a very small and subsequently attacked that leeds to find ways to protect itself other than fight back.It is amasing that 900 thousand people(counted after WW2)can have their own language and culture and their land despiting the fact today that is only a small city in modern world. Sorry brother but if other neighbours are proud to their heritage Albanians deserve to be proud of their heritage too. I'm going to be coming to Albania. I first visited in 1999, for 9 months in a town called Lezhe, and wanted to stay faithful to the country somehow - so kept it in my heart and stayed open to God's leading. I've joined a mission called WEC, and will be going to Albania in the summer - initially for 3 years. I thought I would be living in Tirane to begin with, but just yesterday I was told that I would be living in a village called Sheqeras. I never thought I would be so quickly involved in village life! I'll be learning language and adapting to culture - but my real hope, alongside being with a small church planting team, is to learn as much as I can about children at risk in Albania, and tell their story. God is good, and I'm grateful that He has given this opportunity and burden to me. So I came accross your blog while looking up Korce and Sheqeras. There are no photos of Sheqeras on google!! Anyway - God bless, was an encouragement to read where your heart is over there and that God has lead people to care about Albania.
